1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VetCostIQ (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and partner accounts.

2. Description of Service

VetCostIQ is a platform that provides transparent veterinary pricing information, pet health educational resources, prescription fulfillment connections, and practice management tools for veterinary hospitals and pharmacies. We are not a veterinary provider, pharmacy, or medical authority.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Partners claiming hospital or pharmacy listings must verify their affiliation. VetCostIQ reserves the right to revoke claimed listings if verification cannot be confirmed.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent pricing data or reviews.
Impersonate another person or entity, or falsely claim a hospital or pharmacy listing.
Use the Platform to harass, defame, or threaten any person or business.
Attempt to access unauthorized areas, scrape data at scale, or disrupt Platform operations.
Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights or violates applicable law.
Use AI diagnostic or educational tools as a substitute for professional veterinary care.

5. Pricing Data and Accuracy

Pricing information on VetCostIQ is sourced from user-submitted invoices, hospital-published price lists, and regional benchmark data. While we strive for accuracy, prices may change without notice and may not reflect your specific visit.

Each price record displays a confidence tier indicating its source and verification level. You should always confirm pricing directly with the provider before receiving services.

VetCostIQ does not guarantee that any listed price will be available at the time of your visit.

6. Reviews and User-Generated Content

Users may submit reviews and pricing contributions. You retain ownership of your content but grant VetCostIQ a perpetual, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and adapt it on the Platform.

VetCostIQ reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate. Reviews should reflect genuine experiences; fake or paid reviews are prohibited.

7. Partner Subscriptions

Hospitals may upgrade to Premium ($99/month) or Sponsored ($199/month) listings. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and may be canceled at any time. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Premium and Sponsored features are marketing tools intended to increase visibility. VetCostIQ does not guarantee specific business outcomes from upgraded listings.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, software, logos, and original content, is the property of VetCostIQ. User-generated content remains the property of its creator, subject to the license granted above. AI-generated summaries and educational content are provided for informational purposes only.

9. Third-Party Links

The Platform contains links to third-party websites (hospital sites, pharmacies, Google, etc.). VetCostIQ is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site.

10. Termination

VetCostIQ may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which VetCostIQ is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
