Adding a Missing Hospital
VetCostIQ's database grows with community help. If your veterinary hospital isn't listed, you can add it from the search page. We'll search Google Places to find it and populate the basic info automatically.

1When to Add a Hospital
If you search for your vet by name or city and they don't appear in the results, they may not be in our database yet. Click "Add Hospital" to add them. This helps the entire community — once added, other pet owners in your area can find the hospital too.
2Google Places Lookup
When you enter a hospital name, we search Google Places to find matching veterinary facilities. Results include the hospital name, address, phone number, website, Google rating, hours, and a photo. This data is populated automatically — you just select the correct result.
3After Adding
Once added, the hospital appears in search results immediately. It starts with basic info from Google Places. To enrich the profile with services, staff, and pricing data, the hospital admin can claim the listing and use AI enrichment tools, or pet owners can upload invoices to add pricing data.
Pro Tips
- •Make sure you're searching for a veterinary hospital — Google Places sometimes returns human medical facilities. Our system filters these out, but double-check the name.
- •After adding a hospital, upload your invoice to be the first to contribute pricing data.
- •If the hospital name doesn't match exactly what you searched, try variations — "Animal Hospital of Albuquerque" vs. "Albuquerque Animal Hospital".
