Prescription Status Workflow

PrescriptionsWorkflow

Each prescription request flows through a defined status lifecycle. Understanding the statuses helps you know where your request is in the process and what to expect next.

You submit the prescription → request sent to the pharmacy → status shows "Submitted"

1Submitted

When you submit a prescription request, it's sent to the selected pharmacy immediately. The status shows "Submitted" until the pharmacy staff opens and reviews it. You'll see the submission date and the pharmacy name.

2Verifying

The pharmacy reviews the prescription image, verifies the medication and dosage, and checks that they're licensed in your state. If everything checks out, they'll prepare a price quote. If they can't fill it (e.g., not licensed in your state), they'll reject it with a reason.

3Quoted

The pharmacy sends a price quote. You can accept or decline. If you decline, the request is closed. If you accept, the status moves to "Approved" and the pharmacy begins preparing the prescription.

4Approved & Fulfilled

Once approved, the pharmacy prepares the prescription. When it's ready for pickup or has been shipped, the status moves to "Fulfilled." You'll see the fulfillment date.

5Rejected

If the pharmacy cannot fill the prescription, they'll reject it with a reason (e.g., "Not licensed in your state," "Medication out of stock," "Prescription expired"). You can then try submitting to a different pharmacy.

Pro Tips

  • •Send to multiple pharmacies simultaneously — the first to quote isn't always the cheapest.
  • •If a pharmacy rejects your request, check the reason — it might be a state licensing issue, not a medication problem.
  • •The pharmacy can add internal notes (visible only to their staff) for tracking special instructions.
