1Initial Consent
On your first visit, a cookie consent popup appears at the bottom of the screen. You can Accept All (enables analytics), Accept Essential Only (disables analytics), or close it to defer the decision. Your choice is stored in both an HTTP-only cookie and localStorage for reliability.
2Changing Preferences
Go to your Dashboard and scroll to the Cookie Preferences section. You can toggle analytics on or off at any time. The change takes effect immediately — if you disable analytics, the GA4 script is unloaded.
3GDPR Compliance
If you're in the EU or UK, you have full GDPR rights. Consent is captured once in a lifetime and stored as a legal record. Subsequent preference changes are persisted in your user profile. You can request data export or deletion at any time by contacting support.
4What We Don't Track
VetCostIQ never uses third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking. Analytics data (if enabled) is aggregate-only — we see page views and general usage patterns, not individual user behavior profiles.
